BIO

Cristóvam is a singer-songwriter whose roots lie amidst the deep blue seas of the Atlantic and the verdant landscapes of the Azores, Portugal. His music is defined by heartfelt storytelling and evocative melodies, which shine through in his critically acclaimed albums and songs.

His debut album, Hopes & Dreams (2018), introduced his distinctive sound to the world. In 2020, during a time of global uncertainty, his song “Andrà Tutto Bene” went viral, becoming an anthem of hope and resilience. This powerful moment led to his signing with V2 Records—a key milestone in his artistic journey.

After several well-received singles, Cristóvam released Songs on A Wire (2022), a deeply personal collection that affirmed his place as a poignant storyteller. The following year, he revisited the album in Songs on A Wire: Unwired (2023), offering stripped-down, intimate versions that further revealed the emotional core of his work.

Since 2018, he has toured extensively across Europe, sharing stages with artists such as Stu Larsen, Tim Hart, and Scott Matthews. His songwriting has earned international recognition, including first place in the International Songwriting Competition and two IPMA Awards.

Cristóvam’s live performances are guided by emotional honesty. “For me, connecting with an audience starts with vulnerability,” he says. “The stage is such a challenging place because you’re exposing parts of yourself—corners of your soul that usually stay hidden. It’s intimate, and at times, delicate. But I believe when you open up like that, people don’t just hear the songs—they feel them.”

Cristóvam has already released three singles from his forthcoming album — “Wild Dreams,” “Fever,” and “Simplify,” the latter featuring Australian indie-folk icons Boy & Bear. His new album, Desert of Fools, introduces 11 new tracks and marks a bold new direction for the Azorean artist. Set for release on October 10, 2025, via V2 Records, the album will be followed by a European tour celebrating this new chapter in his musical evolution.
